On Mac, your adapter must expose a system serial port and switch RS-485 direction automatically. A physical bus response and hardware compatibility of all profiles still need verification. USB on iPad requires Apple entitlements and on-device testing.

Before you connect
Which USB adapters work on Mac?
CH340, FTDI, CP210x and other adapters whose drivers provide a working macOS serial port. RS-485 requires automatic direction control. Opening a CH340/CH341 port and handing a request to the driver have been checked; a physical device response has not yet been verified.
How is Modbus TCP different from raw TCP?
Modbus TCP uses an MBAP header without CRC. A transparent TCP stream sends your bytes, such as RTU frames with CRC through a network RS-485 gateway. Baud rate and parity are configured on the gateway.
Can I try it without hardware?
Yes. The built-in demo lets you explore commands, register reads and device controls without connecting to equipment.
Is it on the App Store?
A public iPhone and iPad release is not available yet. This website offers a separately signed and notarized Mac DMG for Apple Silicon.
How do I keep my log?
The most recent 2,000 events are held in memory. Export them to TXT before quitting. Automatic polling is for reads; write commands are never retried automatically.
